March, 2025
30th - First visit to Baradine class found a very laid back environment, but with a number of dancers with great technique foundations and able to pick up dances well. I thoroughly enjoyed the change of scenery and look forward to my next visit planned on 6 July...
27th - Newcomer courses finished with 4 from Gentle & 3 from Radio progressing to the Starter courses. 2 others volunteered to re-enrol for next term due to having missed to many classes ;-)
18th - Seniors group visit from Warrumbungle Community Care had about 10 extras attending & a nice smoko provided. Yes Sir was the tryout dance, though several also had a go at Flobie Slide ;-)
16th - Facebook group created to transition away from website, eventually replacing it... Not only is it free, the time taken to create and update is far less using that method. I've noted that by putting all the same main pages in featured section, you can actually navigate back to where you were much more easily! The drawbacks is all our details will not be publicly available (closed group, need to join), meaning only lists from main linedance sites will come up in searches + I can't control the posts members will get in their newsfeed ;-)
9th - Tania attended the social for Line Dance with KT @ Uralla. Our normal travellers were missed by lots!
6th - Write up for Tania and Musta Dance on page 6 of today's Coonabarabran Times as part of the Women in Business extra...
1st - The "Muster" Weekend @ Curlewis (via Gunnedah) culminated in the Black & White Ball, which even featured a visit from the new Mayor of the region to see what it was all about ;-) While heat knocked us for Friday night's classic social and the Saturday workshop prudent use of air con, coolers and fans + a big supply of bottled water helped everyone get through it safely.
3 of our dancers joined Tania for their first full-on event. They thoroughly enjoyed themselves & made heaps of acquaintances! I also got lots of comments on how well they were doing too ;-) From their requests + ones liked from the workshop, 4 dances being fit into the teaching program quickly + another 4 early next term...

22nd - One dancer joined Tania at LDF Sydney, thoroughly enjoying the workshop and staying for part of the social. Over $11,000 was raised on the night for the Line Dance Foundation with about 150 people in attendance!
19th - The newcomer courses for Term 1 saw lots of late interest, with 7 starting the Gentle one & 7 starting the Radio one. It's always great to see some getting it straight away whilst others are willing to persevere and gradually get there... We also had 1 graduate from T4 2025 starting the Radio class & it was gratifying to see she still had the basic terminology understanding & was getting both the beginner and high beginner dances!
17th - Intermediate short courses for Term 1 started, with the 2 new attendees doing very well for their first time!
11th - CWA meeting and talk saw lots of appreciation and interest in the upcoming newcomer course. Gifted with one of their tea towels put a smile on my dial...

The latter were very enthusiastic about both attending the upcoming course and line dancing in general once they experienced what it's really like ;-) I'm still getting a big smile each time I look at the 2 Valentine's gifts my dancers gave me too!
6th - First choreography released...

17th - Dusty Boots on Parade, Imperial Hotel was a washout with the bands performing having insufficient beat to dance to. But the 3 dancers got an extra attendance added to their tally & enjoyed some cocktails lol...
15th - Even a power outage & storm didn't stop us dancing tonight. The combination of candles and emergency lighting proved sufficient, with battery power being used for both computer and speakers ;-)

October, 2024
