About
- The main purpose of socials is:
1. Circulate dances not always getting done in classes
2. Mix with others from our club & sometimes those from other towns visiting
- Because the dance program needs to cater to a variety of attendees, it is usual for there to be less dances you know! Our social programs will feature a number of split floors to help combat this...
- Those wanting to dance more at socials need to either learn extra dances themselves or attend more classes. Please see Tania for suggestions suiting your skill level and personal aims should this be the case.
Club socials
- This is our club getting together
- please check the calender for cancellations or rescheduling due to conflicts
- due to insufficient attendance numbers, there will now only be 2 of each per year
1. Dance Night - even months on 2nd Friday night 6:00-11:00pm
- emphasis on our Radio dances
2. Day Date - odd months on 1st Saturday 11am-4pm

Open socials
- these also feature a raffle and a traveller's fuel card draw + will be advertised
- again, these have been reduced from the outline below. Please check calendar for remaining dates.
3. Holiday Party - last Sunday of each school holiday period, 11am-4pm
- emphasis on fun and vintage dances
4. Christmas - first Sunday of December, 11am-4pm
- emphasis on Christmas music dances, lucky dip gifts
5. Mixer - first Suday of June (starting 2025), 11am-4pm
- emphasis on both club and visitors all getting a dance
- Tania regular travels to neighbouring clubs for their events as listed in the calendar. Please see her if interested :-)
New Year Bash
- 2 socials on new year eve 2024, being reduced to only the night one in 2025

2. 6-11pm focusing on radio music & fun
Workshops
This is a mix of one or more visiting choreographers/teachers doing the instructing (a workshop), usually accompanied by additional socials during a weekend. These are ocassionally held over a week duration such as for the ALDA championships or the Tamworth Country Music Festival. Specialised local tours are sometimes featured as additional entertainment for visitors. Meals catered for differs per event, as does discounted/included accommodation.
Hope is being held for sufficient demand to start an annual one in 2026, possibly coinciding with the Annual Fundraiser...
Note it is customary for only one or two of the workshop dances to be picked up in classes. It is usually up to yourself to keep up these dances. The 'Holiday Class-shops' listed under the Classes section are a cross between normal classes and Workshops as a gentle introduction to these events.
